Feng shui focuses on positive energy only

Feng shui is an ancient Eastern art that maximizes positive energy in the home, garden and office by focusing on the relationship between people and their environments. Small changes, such as bringing elements of nature into the office, clearing out clutter or fixing things that are broken, could change a person's outlook on life. Large corporations seeking a happier, more productive work force are turning to feng shui consultants. Some home buyers consider feng shui principles before selecting a home.

San Diego Alive spent some time with feng shui consultant Cathleen McCandless, who took us into a home, then a coffee shop to illustrate some simple points that immediately can improve how we feel in our surroundings.
